Jody Jones, Senior Pastor
As pastor of LCF, Jody Jones leads with 23 years of senior pastor experience that focuses on preaching the word of God undiluted and with the content focusing on the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. Jody has a heart to connect people with that gospel whether it's through preaching each Sunday in person or online, or engaging people one on one. He has been married to Monica for over 31 years and has 2 sons and 1 daughter as well as 4 grandkids. Jody is honored and humbled to serve as senior pastor of Lake Community Fellowship.
Monica Jones, Worship Leader
Monica has a passion for worship that began at the age of 13 when she surrendered her life to serve the Lord. She has enjoyed many years at home raising her children, supporting her husband in ministry, and serving the Lord in the church. She is very excited to lead worship at LCF alongside a great worship team.
Our Story
Lake Community Fellowship (LCF) is a non-denominational church located near Cedar Creek Lake and currently meeting in Athens, TX. The calling from our Lord to start a new church was heard and obeyed in November 2020, with the help of a planning core group of like-minded believers. Our first church service was held on December 6, 2020, with 30 people in attendance. Since that time, the Lord has continued to add to our numbers. LCF is committed to building its ministries on seven Pillars found in Act 2:42-47 - Word, Fellowship, Prayer, Holy Spirit, Accountability, Stewardship and Worship. These pillars are firmly secure on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to connect the lake community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
